An informative meeting was held at the premises of the Greek Forum of Refugees between the Coordination Committee of the Ukrainian Communities in Greece and the General Secretary of Social Solidarity and Poverty Alleviation of the Ministry of Labor, Mr Giorgios Stamatis.
The General Secretary informed the representatives of the Ukrainian communities about the actions and initiatives of the Greek State in the context of the support and reception of the Ukrainian refugees arriving in Greece. The Coordination Committee of the Ukrainian Communities in Greece asked a series of crucial questions, while stating its readiness to strengthen actions and initiatives in view of the critical challenges that will accompany the arrival of people from Ukraine.
The meeting was attended by the Ukrainian communities, “the Land of the Stork”, the “Association for the Enhancement and Promotion of Cultural Heritage Trembita”, the “Greek-Ukrainian Thought”, the “Ukrainian Women in Greece”, the community “Boristhenis” and the founder of Humanity Greece, Ms Georgia Paraschou.
All parties agreed to maintain constant contact, information and communication regarding the events, as well as to further develop cooperation.
The Greek Forum of Refugees stands with the Ukrainian Communities of Greece, encouraging and supporting the initiatives of the refugee and migrant communities.
