Immediate provision of cash assistance to Asylum Seekers in Greece

Thousands of asylum seekers across Greece have been without this minimal financial support for their survival for months. Cash assistance payments intended to partially cover basic needs have been delayed for months, leaving families and vulnerable people in uncertainty. Even when they are paid, the money is not enough to cover even the basic needs of asylum seekers, especially those who need special diets due to health problems in remote camps. Despite the critical role of this livelihood support, no clear explanation has been provided by the Ministry of Migration and Asylum.

We join our voice for immediate action. We join others in calling on the Greek government to reinstate payments, to ensure timely and adequate support for all asylum seekers.
