Pagritios Kallitheas Vs GFR F.C. (5 – 8)
On Sunday, 14 November, at the Municipal Sports and Recreation Park of Kallithea, in the context of the 4th match of our football team for the Elite II Championship of http://anexartito.com/ , a football recital was given by both teams. GFR F.C. came victorious, though, once again, with the unreal 8 – 5, securing the 4th win in 4 matches and establishing itself in the 1st place of the League Table.
The team was presented with many absences, once again, having an experimental composition from the middle and the defense. Mohammed was the Goalkeeper, who appeared for the first time. In the center of the defense the duo was the Captain, Jerry and Ishmael, due to the many absences in the squad. Young Andrew appeared as a Right Back, also, for the first time and Alex was a Left Back (not his natural position on the field). In the midfield were Jordie, Francisco (who made his debut) and Chinedu, in his reappearance after a long time. In forward it was George, Nelson and Andrew Atta, who was, undoubtedly, the Man of the Match.
The team did not start well, at all, searching for its balance in the first 20 minutes of the game. This luck of balance resulted two easy goals for the opponents, something that fired us up. The half – time ended with GFR F.C. in front with 3 – 2. Andrew Atta scored twice and Nelson gave the spark with an amazing long shot.
In the second half, Andrew Atta, who was on fire, scored again after Chinedu’s excellent vertical pass in the free space. The opponents prove to be a tough team scoring twice to equalize the game, with two long foul kicks and taking advantage of the poor estimation by our young Goalkeeper.
The score was 4 – 4, but the GFR F.C. was determined to get the victory. With a precise cross Alex found Andrew Atta’s head, putting the team in front again. George made the cross from the right flank and with an impeccable cross he found Jordie who beat everyone in the air with a powerful header. Francisco added two more goals and the final score was the outstanding 8 – 5.
The next match will take place at the RENTI STAR on Sunday, 21 November against Aetos Voreiou Ipeirou. Match starts at 16:30.
