The European Migration Forum (EMF) is a platform for dialogue between civil society and European institutions on issues related to migration, asylum, and the integration of third-country nationals.
In the EMF elections held in December 2023, the Greek Forum of Refugees was elected to the Board of Directors of the EMF, where we are represented by our director, Yonous Muhammadi, and is therefore actively participating in discussions for its better organization, with the involvement of people from the ‘field’ and the most relevant agenda on migration and asylum issues that directly concern us here in Greece.
We believe that the participation of civil society representatives, local authorities, and those working on the front lines of the refugee and migration field — both on the islands and in mainland Greece — is of critical importance. Especially in these challenging times for both Europe and our country, active engagement in such high-level discussions is more necessary than ever.
