Who we Are
The Greek Forum of Refugees (GFR) is a network of refugee and , individuals and professionals working to support and advocate for the rights of asylum seekers, refugees, and stateless persons in Greece and empower Communities though workshops on employability and sustainability
Today, eleven (11) formal Communities are members of the GFR with several unofficial ones also cooperating with us. The GFR’s legal status is that of an association and was created by concerned individuals of refugee background in 2012, though it was conceived as an idea since 2010
It was a very early step towards Self-Advocacy and had a clear perspective on promoting an essential inclusion and joint participation of the refugee and the local population
The Board of Directors is composed of people of a refugee background
