Mr Muhammadi officially announced his resignation from the Presidency of the Board
The Greek Forum of Refugees turns the page into a new chapter, as it completes ten years since its foundation.
Last Friday, 14 February at the annual New Year’s cake event which took place at the association’s office, mr Yonous Muhammadi officially announced a very important decision for the Greek Forum of Refugees’ future.
Mr Muhammadi, President of the Board throughout the lifespan of the association, resigned from his position and called for a reformation of the Board’s structure by adhering to standard statutory procedures, which were held on the 25th January 2020.
Therefore, Mr Jean Didier Totow Tom – Ata was elected as the new President of the Board. Mr Moussa Sangare will be the new Vice – President. Mrs Tamara Champouni will be the General Secretary. Mrs Photene Kalpakioti, remains the treasurer. Mr Yonous Muhammadi will remain a member of the Board.
The former President believes that the Greek Forum of Refugees is currently composed by a strong, committed and skilled group of people, capable of working hard and methodically in order to fulfill the goals that the association has set.
Empowering refugee communities and highlighting their role as members of the society, in order to reach the ultimate purpose of their holistic social inclusion, remain the main objectives of the Greek Forum of Refugees.
