Foreign students visited GFR
Tuesday, 24th October a group of Swedish students from a Malmö secondary school came to visit GFR in order to exchange and learn more about the situation refugees face in Greece today, but also to discover the work GFR is leading in order to improve refugee communities’ integration and empowerment.
After a general presentation made by Yonous Muhammadi, who made clear that we are daling more with a responsibility sharing and solidarity crisis than a refugee one, the students, excited by the fact that refugees themselves are taking action, engaged in a lively discussion and asked several questions related to the main challenges Greece and Greek associations are currently facing. They also enquired into the presence and actions of a far-right political group in the Greek Parliament and society and showed interest in finding out our current demands.
Thumbs up for these great kids and their teachers!
