Empower the Future: Join the Youth Board of Refugee Week Greece Festival

Are you a young adult under 25 with a lived experience of displacement? Or perhaps you’re a passionate advocate for socially engaged arts?

Refugee Week Greece invites you and more young people from across Greece (and beyond!)  to join their Youth Board and lead the way in shaping the future of Refugee Week Greece! The Youth Board of Refugee Week Greece embodies the vibrant spirit of change, infusing energy and enthusiasm into every aspect of Refugee Week Greece. As a member of their Youth Board, you won’t just inspire change – you’ll become a role model for your peers, showcasing the incredible impact that young individuals can have on shaping a more inclusive and empathetic society.

The Youth Board’s energy and enthusiasm infuse every aspect of Refugee Week Greece, ensuring that their programs resonate with the evolving needs of youth affected by displacement. Through their active involvement, they not only inspire change but also serve as role models for their peers, demonstrating the remarkable impact that young individuals can have on shaping a more inclusive and empathetic society.

The time requirement for this role is 2 hours every month for your online meet up, as well as around 2-4 hours every month for further research and additional meetings. Total: 6 hours every month. Please note this is a volunteer role.

The Youth Board will be meeting regularly and your role will be focussing on:

  • Advocacy and Representation: The board serves as advocates for the youth community, ensuring their perspectives, concerns, and aspirations.
  • Ideation and Innovation: They actively contribute fresh and innovative ideas that reflect the evolving needs and preferences of young refugees.
  • Programme Development and Curation: The board plays a central role in shaping the content and structure of Refugee Week events.
  • Community Engagement and Outreach: Through various channels, the youth board actively engages with the broader community, promoting awareness and participation in Refugee Week Greece. They serve as ambassadors, fostering connections with schools, organisations, and individuals interested in supporting the cause.
