Its ultimate goal is the effective inclusion and integration of refugees\/immigrants and asylum seekers in the host society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>GFR is a self-advocacy organization founded by refugees, with refugees, for refugees. Its action and activities are based on three key pillars:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>a. Representation of refugees and migrants on national, European and International levels<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>b. Empowerment of refugee and migrant communities, and<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>c. Social and political integration and inclusion of refugees and migrants in the host society<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although the Greek Forum of Refugees, primarily, is a self-advocacy organization, it has been actively present on the ground during times of different consecutive and continuous crises in Greece, such as the \u201crefugee crisis\u201d of 2015-2016, the pandemic crisis, and the Ukrainian crisis with thousands of asylum seekers from Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Greek Forum of Refugees is a grassroots organization, present on the ground helping the most vulnerable and marginalized people, supporting those in need, especially women with children, families and individuals with multiple life-threatening diseases, and people with special needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"vigour-responsive-embed\"><iframe title=\"What is the Greek Forum of Refugees?\" width=\"816\" height=\"459\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/BOF3YZw-ojU?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>GFR is a refugee-led organization based in Greece, consisting of refugee\/migrant communities, professionals and individuals.
