In 2000, the vice-president of the Greek Forum of Refugees and president of the Ivorian Community of Greece (Communauté ivoirienne de la Grèce) had the honor of being awarded the Civic Pride award, which is organized annually by the European Civic Forum. Since then, the Greek Forum of Refugees has been an official member of the European Civic Forum and was elected a member of the Board of Directors and vice-president of this important pan-European platform of Civil Society Organizations.
This year, on September 18th, the award ceremony took place for another four (4) noteworthy human rights advocacy organizations
