The Greek Forum of Refugees along with the New Europeans, a non-profit association, organized on the 30th of September 2021 the initiative titled “Assemblies of Solidarity” which is a citizen-led project coordinated by “Citizens Take over Europe” as part of the Conference on the Future of Europe.
The event was a part of a series of 10 events in 10 EU member states arranged under three themes: democracy and citizenship, health and well-being, environment and climate change. In small group discussions, the participants, under the guidance of a team led by New Europeans with the local partner organization and supported by community activists and volunteers, addressed a number of questions related to Health and Covid-19.
The main purpose of these workshops is to record the needs and opinion of everyone, including young people, seniors, refugees, migrants, asylum seekers and non-citizens, in order to apply safe-guarding public health measures that will be accepted and implemented by all.
